Sarah's Key - Tatiana de Rosnay Absolutely heartbreaking fictional account seen through the eyes of a little girl who came from a Jewish family and takes place in Nazi-occupied Paris during WWII. The narration flips back and forth between the story of the little girl in the 40s and a contemporary tale of an American-born journalist married to a French man living in Paris. I found the contemporary story to be difficult and to be honest, boring, but the child's story was absolutely riveting. In the end I was quite satisfied.
